Allan & I went to Legends for our annual visit last night & I have to say that it never fails to impress. The venue is fabulous (although the entrance on the ground floor has been gutted ready for a new Western Saloon, I understand, so getting into the show was quite chaotic as the usual way up was not being used). The show started promptly at 7.30pm with a set from Gary Barlow, followed by Robbie Williams, followed by Michael Jackson. All 3 were amazingly good look-alikes as well as sound alikes. I hadn’t seen Barlow & Jackson before & it was good to have some fresh blood as well as the addition of brilliant dance moves from Michael Jackson. The star of the show was Meatloaf duetting with Leanne Fury … what a pair of lungs the 2 of them have! And telling the stories of the songs through dance/drama is just genius. A great finale which had everyone up & out of their seats. Have to say that I miss the old Tom Bright spot where he used to dress up & sing a comedy version of a well known song at the start of the second half but he did perform a little ditty last night which went down well with the audience. Overall, still an EXCELLENT choice of show when visiting Blackpool … can’t recommend it highly enough.
